Here at the Tiger Activity Center we aim to offer a variety of fitness classes for both our member and non-members. Take course to increase your cardio and challenge your strength!

Fitness Instructors

Michele Engesser

Michele has been certified in formats including Jilliam Michaels Bodyshred, Bodyflow, STRONG, Zumba, Step, R.I.P.P.E.D., and Core. Over the last 15 years she has taught for the University of Minnesota, YMCA, General Mills, Wayzata and Bloomington Community Education, and most recently in Vevey, Switzerland. Michele has a passion for connecting with members as unique individuals and enjoys sharing her love of fitness and nutrition with the class. Her methodology is to work effectively, efficiently, and with your whole heart.

Kate Leis

Kate is a Personal Trainer and the owner of Balanced Healthy Fit Coaching Services. She is an avid runner and fitness enthusiast. Kate is excited to help you reach your goals. She has completed 2 Ironman distance triathlons, 11 marathons, multiple ultra (beyond 26.2 miles) distance trail races; including 2 finishes at the Superior 100 mile Ultra Trail Race. Kate understands the power of dedication and goal setting in achieving goals. She is comfortable working with and teaching people of all ages and backgrounds.

Ben Nolan

Ben obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science from MSU-Mankato and is a CF-L1 Trainer. He has been training groups and individual clients for the past 5 years. Ben's goal as a trainer is to inspire clients to their full potential through clear goal setting and consistent training. He has coached a variety of fitness classes, including CrossFit, running camps, military training, and general strength conditioning. He has experience with all ages and fitness levels.

Lindsay Ricke

Lindsay is an ACE certified health coach, fitness instructor, foodie, and mom. She started in the fitness industry in college and just couldn't stop! Her philosophy around food and fitness is all about balancing what you love with a healthy lifestyle... and above all, having fun! Lindsay is a sucker for anything coconut, dogs catching some air out car windows, salty snacks, and her kids. Come tone your body an crack some jokes with her!

Leslie Swedberg

Leslie is a fitness lover whose passion for sports and exercise began as she grew up participating in athletics here in Delano! She was introduced to group fitness in college and was drawn to the accountability and challenge of a class atmosphere. Since then she has participated in fitness classes of a range of formats... from yoga, HIIT, barre, step, spin, functional training, and beyond. She became certified as a group fitness instructor through the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and Lifetime Fitness.
