ECFE is Early Childhood (children from birth up to Kindergarten enrollment), Family (parents, grandparents and guardians), Education (classes, special events, and resources), ECFE is a community education program of the Delano Public Schools.
A Typical ECFE Class Includes:
- About 50 minutes for parents and children to play, discover and learn together in our early childhood classrooms. The classrooms have been especially designed for little learners. Our ECFE teachers are fabulous at providing fun and creative ways to encourage language, music and imaginations!
- A parent discussion time facilitated by a parent educator, where parents meet to share support, experiences and information about child development and parenting techniques.
- During parent discussion time the children and early childhood teacher enjoy a snack, story time, art and playtime together in the children’s classroom.
In other classes, parents and children spend the entire time playing and learning together, while a few classes are parent discussion only.
High quality childcare is provided on site, for a fee, for siblings not enrolled in classes.
